Halloween Fun

Last week was filled with lots of fun activities, it started with Emily's class doing a real life "Wax Museum" at school to celebrate Nevada Day. Each student was assigned a person or event in Nevada history, they had to write a short report about the assigned topic and create a poster. Once the "Museum" opened, we walked around and if there was a poster that looked interesting to us we pressed the "Press Here" button that each student had on their fist, then they would tell you about their topic, Emily's was about the Pyramid Lake War,(which I have never heard of before) we also learned about area 51,Kyle Bush, Eureka, the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign, and many other things I can't remember right now. But it was a really cute event. That was followed by the always fun Halloween costume parade for the kids at school. Abby has been begging me to make this recipe since we saw it on a "gourmet mom on the go" blog in September. I told her we couldn't make it until October and before I knew it, we were at the end of October so we made some "not your Mummies" meatloaf last week....and of course none of the kids liked it. But it was fun. Since the kids had Friday off school, we decided to head down to AZ with some friends to attend the ASU "Fest-Devil" homecoming block party. As always it was great fun, We also hit the zoo we saw some monkeys, but these ones where my favorite! We spent Halloween night trick or treating with my cousins family (Thanks guys, We had a blast!) I think the kids favorite part of the night was getting to ride in the golf cart back to the house to use the bathroom!

Great jobs on the costumes!!! They look so fun, I missed seeing all the nieces and nephews in their costumes this year.
